Ah, nothing like a spot of Prussian-style jackbooted thuggery.

Is August really gone? Our August? When the sun shone on the valley of our love so new? And what now? Do we just part, and say, "Would that it were, would that it were"? Before the veranda, that might have been an option, but now... now we know each other so well that we have become strangers again... so again, what are we to become?
AWESOME, that's what! Because starting next Tuesday, we're back to full-color, six-panel radness, the way that dad used to do it.
In the meantime, I just have to admire Geoff's sense of symmetry here: a comic that all but launched on Rene Descartes getting kicked in the nuts is now closing its summer arc on Albert Schweitzer getting punched in said nuts. The Circle of Life, boys ... don't hold back the tears, because you can't.
