One of the MST 3K episodes I used to have on all the time in the background while I was doing homework in high school was the one with the Kalevala movie adaptation The Day The Earth Froze, which prominently featured Lemminkainen tilling a field of snakes, which worked its way into tilling a Frozen field of snakes, with a bear as your only companion and helpmate, which is apparently, in my head, the Russian equivalent...
