We are back from ECCC, and there is so much to say I don't know where to begin. Thank you to everybody who came by, gave me awesome things to draw, and bought our book - you made our weekend the awesomeness that it was. And a special thank you to Brent for letting me crash on his floor Friday night, and to Art, who kept me fed, gave me a place to sleep the other nights, and got me the coolest damn piece of original Giles art basically ever!
So, first thing first, there is a new button up there on the links bar - The Frederick Shoppe! There, you can buy the new book, request a fine historical sketch, or for the discerning client, do both at the same time! Everybody wins! Check it out!
Second thing second, I came across a ton of great, great stuff at the con that are worth your checking out. I'll go into more detail about all that on Thursday when I have a chance to get through my whole pile, which would go a lot faster if I didn't just keep reading Axe Cop over and over...
Third thing third: A few people requested sketches at the con that I did not get a chance to finish but that I have no mailing address for. Here are all the sketches that I am working on and have an address for. If you know you requested something and it's not on here, send me an email at TheCount@ftg-comic.com and we'll find a way to get that on over to you! For those on the list, I'm trying to do about 4 to 6 of these a day, so at the latest expect them late next week! Okay, here's what's in the queue, in no particular order:
1 Nikola Tesla Cuddling Gertrude Stein
2 Rosalind Franklin & DNA Chain
3 Elizabeth I punching Walter Raleigh

21 Giant Ants Take Over Village
22 Thomas Jefferson Boxing John Adams
23 Chuck Yeager Kicking Bird in Nuts

Okay, Thursday check on back for a grand roundup of awesome convention things! And a buncha scans!
- Count Dolby von Luckner
Emerald City Comicon has come and gone.
I had a grand time talking to people, dressed in my 18th-century-esque finery and getting mistaken for Ben Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, or Fake Thomas Jefferson.
I do believe I dazzled one mother and son into a book sale when they asked me about the lyrics to "I am the Very Model of a Modern Major General" and I basically just busted those tight rhymes right out.
I am still in the decompression phase, but I'll get some links to neat stuff posted later in the week. (And hey, that way they'll be on the front page all weekend!)
