First of all, if you haven't picked up a copy of Fred van Lente's Archer and Armstrong yet, go do so - it is over-the-top historico-religious storytelling of the raddest type. I've done a bit of a writeup of the first two issues over at The Vocate if you need to know a bit more before parting with your hard earned Paper that Counts as Work Done in Context The World Economy (sorry... I've been deep in The Searle recently).
When WAS the last time Flave got into a proper throwdown? This bit of a battle against the Thoremerson (half-Thoreau, half-Emerson, All Transcendentalist) is the last I can think of.
Meanwhile, APE is coming up!! October 13 and 14 in San Francisco, Geoff and I shall be sitting in our accustomed order (some day I really should try sitting on the left and he on the right side of the table, but I have the feeling that would implode the universe somehow), selling books, chatting about history and science and historical fiction with whomsoever might pass by, and drawing up the whims of the Bay Area's independent comic lovers! Come visit us, DO!
